Are Breast Implants Safe?

SERMO physicians have previously debated the safety of different types of breast implants, dissecting the risks associated with silicone gel breast implants and saline implants, and detailing horrifying patient accounts of toxic mold/bacteria in or around certain implants.

When asked “assuming a patient is responsible about ‘upkeep/maintenance’ over time, do you think breast implants are safe?” over 2000 doctors from around the world weighed in. A whopping 52 percent believe no form of breast implants are safe.
