While many are making and sticking to their New Year’s Resolutions, half way into the month our physicians have been making resolutions too. While only 11 percent were looking forward to more work in 2014, most of our doctors, 50 percent, are resolving to work less.
Continuing their education is also a high priority in 2014, as 25 percent of physicians look to increase knowledge within their specialties. One of the chief complaints of M.D.s is the conversion over to EHRs (electronic health records), and 18 percent of doctors are hoping to streamline their systems in 2014.
Overall, our doctors are looking for a little work/life balance, some efficiency improvements and more time doing quality work with patients. As a physician or health care practitioner what are your goals for 2014? If you’re an M.D. or D.O. we’ve love to continue the conversation inside Sermo.
