Announcing the Sermo Diabetes Hub

Today we’re launching our newest Hub, the Diabetes Hub, a first-of-its-kind-collaboration where we can share the newest research, best patient care practices, and in-depth physician discussion centered on diabetes.  As part of the launch, we will be collaborating with the Joslin Diabetes Center to provide additional content and resources pertaining to diabetes.

The Joslin Clinic is the leader in diabetes research and patient care.  They will regularly contribute content to the Hub that will become a dynamic center where Sermo physicians can interact and learn from each other.

John Brooks, Joslin CEO, said “We are excited to be working with Sermo to educate this large community of physicians about diabetes prevention and treatment.”

The Hub is yet another way we are supporting our company mission of improving healthcare globally through clinical tools and resources on the Sermo platform,” said Jon Michaeli, senior vice president, Global Community and Marketing for WorldOne. “Fundamental to that goal is ensuring we have the absolute best content from the most authoritative sources. As such, this is the perfect opportunity to take our partnership with Joslin to a new level; adding Joslin’s thought leadership and expertise will make the Diabetes Hub the ultimate point of learning resource on Diabetes care.”

In addition to the Joslin content, the Hub will aggregate diabetes information from all corners of Sermo – from posts to polls.  If you’re a diabetes specialist, or know someone who has diabetes, this disease Hub will be a micro-site you will want to visit often for the latest conversations and news.

The Hub unites the best of what Sermo offers in a virtual learning and collaboration space to improve care in Diabetes:

  • Polls geared towards diabetes
  • A Multimedia Channel for the latest diabetes video content
  • Fresh, breaking posts from your Sermo peers
  • A direct look into Twitter’s feed about diabetes, and
  • New research, resources, and up-coming conference updates

With the Diabetes Hub, we hope you’ll be able to interact with your peers more easily inside Sermo.  We are hoping to spark some great discussions on diagnosis, treatment options, the latest technology to support patients and more.  Want to see what’s going on in the larger Sermo community?  Just use the top navigation tool to see what is new in all categories.

The Diabetes Hub now joins the Oncology and Multiple Sclerosis Hubs, and we’ll be debuting a Cardiology Hub soon.  If you’re an M.D. or a D.O. you can join the discussion inside Sermo.
